Well I am back :)
we have had glorious weather in Northumbria, Sun all week apart from one day that was coudy with a spot of rain. We have spent many lovely times at the beach and the dogs have had a fantastic time running on the sand and jumping in the sea and rock pools!
we have been to the historic town of Alnwick and the wonderful baterbooks and Cragside House and Beamish and much time at the wonderful seaside village of Almouth, which really dies rival Whitby for holiday home potential! This has to be the holiday where we have done the least and it has been great! one advantage about going to the same place year after year is that there is no pressure to fit lots of things in- having been to most places, we can kick back and relax!
I will update with a few photos later!
Needless to say even a little holiday has left us flat broke and now it is pasta and tomato sauce for the rest of the month LOL! We didn't have a single meal or cuppa out, unless you count a cup of hot chocolate to go and a tray of chips!
Getting through the marking still loads to do and I have many many dreads to make tonight for customers on etsy and a wig to make tomorrow- I also have some falls to make for ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) queen_tea - I will get it done VERY soon hun!
Recieved a wonderful new hat from the above mentioned queen_tea - it is totally steampunkly amazing... I don't want to show it off till I have time to dress up and put some falls in- it is muchly lush!
tonight I am also putting together an assembly for Monday morning...busy bee!

Ai might eventually get home, via Aberdeen! No seriously, Bedford, then bus to kettering then I think train to derby...going to take many hours!
The train has to be the skankiest rotten thing seats so close you are touching knees, no room to put bag or read or relax at all, this is the Air2000 train equivilent(anyone who has flown with them will know what I mean!)

Well I made it! My hotel room is really tiny- bathroom is wee! It is a wet room but the toilet is in the shower bit, so you have to remember to remove the toilet roll before showering! How odd!
Still,it is a consideration for a weekend away sometime with Mr Karl as it is not too expensive.
Because I am a scardy cat dinner came from M and S! There is no way - would go to a resteraunt on my own in the evening and I don't want to risk a takeaway!
- am afriad I did some comfort shopping and got a ipod cover from paperchase with owls on and some earings from accessorise.
So far all okay-lets see what tomorrow brings, I am seriously considering walking rather than getting the tube as it only seems 20 mins away...we'll see! |

I have just finished these for a customer, blended auburns. they are backcombed inside but smooth on outside ( kinda opposite to ARMADILLOS!).
 
that...and I am totally kaking my pants about navigating London on my own tomorrow!

I got all the papers through on Saturday and the meeting is this Saturday- officially I should only mark about 10 in pencil before the meeting- I am going to try to clear 15 at least to get head start.
Each paper takes about 10-15 mins to mark, sometimes more.
So here starts the long hours of numb bum and backache- oh well it will pay for my Whitby Holiday!
I am not looking forward to going to London on Friday, walking round Kings Cross looking for the hotel i have booked into online- which panics me as I haven't spoken to a person, then trying to navigate my way through the tube system the next morning to get to the meeting ON A SATURDAY- what retards AQA are to think that is a good idea! Then I am told it could take up to 5 hours and several changes and maybe even a bus to get home as there is planned maintenance on Saturday- just faffing great!
Not a happy bunny about this at all- I do not understand why the meeteing hass to be London when people from all over the country have to go- it should be Birmingham or somewhere central. |

As you know I have working as an acting assistant head of house for 4 months, a temp job that will end in Seotember.
WELL I have just had an interview of the same position in another house AND I GOT IT!!!!! I am thrilled!!! I talked and talked and talked in the interview iwth the Head, the head of house and the local vicar ( who is a govenor). I had two other go for the role...both fairly inexperienced but those who work in education know it is never a done deal, it always goes on interview.
All I can say is THANK FECK I HAVE FINALLY GOT IT!!! I have been cahsing this job for nearly 4 years! getting the temp position was dissapointing but I was grateful for the 'second prize'- and ultimately the chance to proove I can do it!
Just been out for a little pub meal to celebrate with Karl and a friend from work :)
It has been an od day, started by the interview being sprung on me- I picked today to wear a long hippy skirt and a cardi- I normally wear suit jackets...and find I am being interviewed! Queue stress!!!! Somehw the letter hadn't got to my tray on time! I had a mini panic and the Head didn't realise I didn't know, he offered to do my Pm registration so I could go home and change. Thankfully I had a free this afternoon to put my folder together.
But yeah, a day full of emotions! I wish I had the moeny to celebrate better! |

Not much happening...soon will be the time for marking again, A level language, it will mean all my free time is spent marking but it is good money and I need it for Our whitby holiday.
I had my first Etsy sale the other day- yay, except I typed my email in wrong for paypal, so the buyer needs to check their moeny hasn't gone anywhere! DOH! edited it now!
LPS website is up and working and had my first order through there already. Got another to make, a long banshee pair in black and natural browns, looking forward to it as it will be HUGE!
Just came back from a handfasting, some pics later, it was beautiful :)
Off to the NEW tomorrow for a doll and toy show and a doll meet! going to be a long day as I hate driving to Birmingham!

I am thinking of selling her, she is a Cherishdoll Alley limited V2, dress, tights, wig- but her headdress I am afraid is torn, if I can repair it I will.
I will also send a little kimono I made for her.
She is totally sold out and has been for a while- she also comes with spare hands 
I also have a sleeping head for her that will come with her, not faced up.

looks like it is going up the swannee! Reading though the latest post on the Whiby LJ is rather worrying. It smacks of hostile take over to me, vote of no confidence and all that...course I am doin my own reading between my own lines but if they do change the weekend to the weekend after that is me buggered and I cannot imagine how faffed off John and Tash will be!
It is my personal opinion that Jo is killing this event and would rather see it die than hand it over.
When i think about it, what do I go for? Whitby itself ,friends and the chace to wear great clothes... The event itself- pretty pants these days.
the steampunk event is sounding so much better, the organisation, the amount of info they give you...Personally, I can't wait it sounds great! |

| How does your garden grow? |

Quite well actually! We seem to have lost the cucumber plant so I have planted some seeds today to try to propergate them into li'l plants!
I took my seed plants, parsley, sage and a couple of random unidentified ones ( wind blew them over not long after planing and tags lost, I will be able to identify them as they grow) and too kthem out of the soil and planted them in big pots- i hope they grow on!
Bought some more sage, lavender and thyme and a lovely acer tree, and some rhubarb!
In our garden-a-growing there is:
Vegtables:
Parsnips
carrots
brocolli
mange tout
onions
leeks
garlic
corgettes
(all in our veg patch)
Spinach
cucmbers
salad leaves
(little plants growing bigger before planting out)
Potatoes (3 tubs)
Fruit:
Rhubarb- we'll see how that goes! It miught go mental it might not! It has been planted
Herbs:
Lavender
parsley
marjaram
pineapple sage
sage
apple mint
bay
rosemary
fennel
Rocket
curry plant
(and waiting for corriander to grow but I am not sure it will and waiting for basil to grow)
I think that is it! Wow we have been busy
Yesterday I made my first smudging stick from sage bound up- i am more excited about that than I should be! |

I have actually finished my essay- it is still at 5990 minus any tables (which is is a bit cheeky!!) I think I am allowed 10% margin, so that is 5500- so still have a naughty 490 over. I just cannot cut it anymorem, if I do it will not make sense. I have knocked to font size down to point10 ariel to reduce the page numbers...fingers crossed it goes through 'unnoticed'!
A teacher at work who is doing his PHd thinks it is fine and should be at the right level to pass. I still worry it is too shote to pass, as I failed my first module and still don't know if I passed my re submission! I just cannot do this bolloxy nonsense writing!
I am totally stressed out, tired beyond belief and totally drained.
Remind me why I am taking this MA again? |

Not ready yet but I have decided to re open littlepinkfaery with a much cut down range, only big backcombed falls and banshee wigs- they were some of my best sellers and are quick to do...I don't have time for woolly creations anymore but I can earn a few pennies doing these.
Here is my new fairy and new colour scheme, Karl is a genious and took my original drawing and a photo of a banshee wig and melded the two together! I fiddled a bit to make the wig look more like a drawing- et voila!
It is a damn shame a lot of my photos went with my computers in the burglaries, in the days before I backed everything up! Still I have enough to launch.
Something has got to feed my doll buying habit! (even though dolly wigs still doing well!)
